Andrey Belenky focuses his practice on patent litigation and various proceedings in the Patent Office. In addition to representing clients in litigation matters, Andrey counsels clients on protecting intellectual property by developing cost-effective patent procurement strategies. Andrey is also experienced in patent due-diligence and patent legal opinion matters. In addition to intellectual property, Andrey also represents clients in commercial disputes and employment matters.
Andrey graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Computer Engineering and M.S. in Telecommunication Networks from Polytechnic University (which recently became part of New York University). Later, Andrey graduated from the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering. His graduate research and the topic of his dissertation related to Internet security. Andrey is a named inventor on two issued U.S. patents and an author of several articles related to networking. Andrey has presented his work at international conferences. For four years, Andrey worked at Bellcore, which was later renamed into Telcordia Technologies, as an engineer consultant on the design and implementation of data networks of various size and complexity. Andrey obtained his law degree from Fordham University School of Law in 2006. While studying in law school, he worked as a patent agent in the IP department of Jones Day, on patent prosecution, patent litigation, and legal opinion matters. After he was admitted to practice law in 2007, Andrey primarily focused on patent litigation and oversaw several clients with significant patent portfolios.
